Christmas Note: We are 15 days into December and I haven’t heard the dreaded Christmas Shoes song yet. I’m very excited about this, though each time I turn on the radio or walk into a store, my face becomes slick with panic-sweat as I fear that the song of Satan shall bellow forth. If I make it all season without hearing the song, I will know Santa is real.

It’s a Snow Speeder!
If you need to take down giant mechanical dinosaurs on an icy planet, there’s only one ship you can trust! The Snow Speeder!
I loved the Snow Speeder and the AT-AT scenes on Hoth. But then that famous scene was used in every Star Wars video game and the magic has somewhat diminished. If you played a Star Wars game in the late 90s/early 00s, then you know what I’m talking about.
The Star Wars game could be called Yoda Cooks Porridge and just as Yoda is about to add the nutmeg — BAM — you find yourself firing a tow-cable at the feet of an AT-AT.
Follow-Up: As a kid, I thought it was called the “Toe Cable” because Luke fires it at the toes of the AT-ATs. I was an amazing child.
Luke loves this ship, and claimed it as his own.
LUKE: Yay! It’s mine! I know how to fly it!
HANK: You’re such a good pilot, huh? Wonder if the widow of your copilot agrees.
LUKE: Shut up. That was an accident.
HANK: You were an accident.
LUKE: Nuh-uh!
HANK: Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to your dad knocking up your mom and then your mom dying because she don’t even like you! She wasn’t even sick or anything! She just didn’t like your dumb face! So she died.
LUKE: Nooooooo! It’s not true! That’s impossible!
HANK: Search your feelings…
LUKE: Midichlorians, attack!
HANK: Go do your chores!
It got ugly. Vance and Warren went to get waffles.
