Is it me, or is this one of the best toy calendars I’ve opened? Even the dud days can bring forth Bird Thing and booze. And that last sentence only makes sense if you’re cool and have been reading these all month.

Snow Patrol!

I’ll name her Flamingo, but you can call her Flame. Or officer. Check out those skis?

Clearly she’s Melvin’s mom, since both have an affinity for winter sports, blue slacks and the law.

Delores saw her and said, “You know what your problem is? Women today can be doctors and whatever, but they still won’t let us on the moon. And that’s…that ain’t right. But you know what? If they asked me to go to the moon? I’d say no, because it’s my body! MY! BODY! And the moon? That’s just rocks. So let the boys have it, I say! No thank you! You know? What size guitar are you?”

Delores believed the extra ski pole to be a magic wand. While holding it up she told Clara, “Sometimes I pretend Santa is Dumbledore. But that’s not cheating. It’s just thinking. Thinking isn’t illegal!”

And Clara said, “That’s nice, dear. How about you eat something. Have you eaten anything today?”

“I’d expecto his patronum, if you know what I mean!” Delores said, and then laughed and then cried.
