First things first. If you turn yesterday’s item upside down, it looks like a Rocket Ice Skate. There is nothing more Christmas-y than a rocket ice skate. Add “Pair of Rocket Ice Skates” to your wish list if you want to be totally rad, and unquestionably injured in the new year.
Now all I can think about are rocket ice skates.
Though I’m not sure why I’m excited about any type of ice skates. I tried ice skating for the first time last Thanksgiving, hoping beginner’s luck would shine upon me. While I never technically fell, I also never broke past speeds of 0.0005 m.p.h. and my had never left the wall. As such, there’s a good chance I will never don skates, rocket or otherwise, again.
And now today’s item…
It’s a robot!
It looks like one of the beefy battle droids from the prequels.
And if he walks on all-fours, he looks like a Robo-Gorilla. And so I shall give him a name suitable for a great ape. His name is Warren Octagon. I’m also getting an Iron Giant vibe from Warren, especially when he’s attacking Doug. I love the Iron Giant.
When the calendar offers a robot, it’s always a good day. Plus, the empty spaces on his back look like a scary face.
As loyal readers know, the very first Lego item in my very first Lego calendar was also a robot…
Hello old friend. Meet your new neighbor. (This could end badly.)
Day 2 Rating: 3.6 out of 5 (Points added because he’s a robotic gorilla.)
Today’s Avengers chocolate piece was in the shape of Captain America’s shield. Now that it’s in my stomach, I’m pretty sure my belly is bullet-proof, at least for the next six to eight hours.
Did you know Dan also makes magical pencils? You can buy the whole set of seven Power Pencils, complete with instruction books and carrying case, all for just $20! It’s the best thing to happen to Christmas since Santa took a shower!
