2020 Lego Advent Calendar: Day Eight

The Covid-19 vaccine is on the horizon. People in the U.K. are already getting the magic elixir. By this time next year, we will all be super-powered warriors! I’m only writing about it because it will date these blogs. 1,000 years from now, when humans and our cyborg overlords are living on the moon, they’ll  find and read these blogs, and will know what was happening in the world.

Yes, ’tis a stressful time. But hope is the spark that shall ignite the light at tunnel’s end!

Also for the sake of prosperity, please know I was very handsome and stronger than most people.

Today’s Lego item is…

The Christmas Tree!

So many pieces. That’s the good thing about the Christmas Tree in these calendars; they are always loaded with pieces.

A staple of any Lego City Advent Calendar, the Christmas Tree has been hit or miss in the past. Mostly miss. But I like this one. Love the angular look. It’s like Tilda Swinton’s face.

Lego must have made too many microphone pieces, because this tree uses one to attach the star. And it came with an extra microphone. If I got your name for Secret Santa, hope you like miniature Eye Paddles.

Giles had trouble putting the star on top.

He-Man stepped in and shouted, “By the power of Green Tree! I HAVE THE POWER!”

Nothing really happened. He just reached up and placed the star on top.

He then admired his work like a dad who just fixed a mailbox. I think he expected a bigger reaction from everyone.

He then gave Giles a gold star for telling the truth. What truth? I don’t know. He-Man just loves encouraging others.

Day 8 Rating: 3.3 out of 5 (Points added for the angles.)

See you tomorrow!
