Lego Advent Calendar: Day 22

Christmas is literally right around the corner. (I named the spider in the hallway “Christmas.”) Yesterday’s Lego Item wasn’t spectacular but it’s a necessary part of the Christmas Train that seems to be popping out of the calendar. So I’m glad it’s there, even if I secretly wished for a Lego Sea Serpent.

Today’s item isn’t the train engine. The Lego Company knew I would be expecting an engine. A train needs an engine, right? Wrong. So very, very wrong.

Read on to find out what is providing the locomotion for this locomotive.

Lego Helicopter!

This is obviously another toy for the Goat children to play with. Like the other gifts, this one is comically out of proportion with the children. Look at the size of this thing?

Cat Girl could almost ride inside it. Almost.

A real toy helicopter wouldn’t be that large. It would be this size:

I’m not upset that the helicopter is big. I love it! Can you imagine getting a toy helicopter that is twice your size? I can’t. I just tried and it gave me a headache. It’s like trying to picture infinity in your mind or what Keanu Reeves will look like as an old man. It cannot be done.

After playing with the helicopter for 3 hours, I noticed the ball at the end of the tail looks similar to the ball-joint of the train cars. 2 hours after that, I realized I could connect the helicopter to the train cars and make a HOVER TRAIN!

HOVER TRAIN!

Look what I did!

Hover Train!

It’s the best mode of transportation this side of jetpacks and sword skis.

I can’t wait to see this bad boy in action!

Hmm…Doesn’t quite seem as awesome as I had thought.

Still…Hover Train is better than Ground Train, though not quite as fantastic as Moon Train, Gravy Train, or the Molar Express (A train made entirely out of teeth).

Day 22 Rating: 3.1 out of 4 (Points deducted because people stare at me when I scream, “Hover train!” and then make helicopter-train noises such as, “Choo-choo-Flflflflfflflfllfl.”)

Tomorrow is the penultimate day of the calendar, and as such I will use the word “penultimate” quite a bit because that word is cool and I rarely get the chance to penultimate use it. Merry Penultimate Calendar Day Eve!
