Last year I wrote a short story about Santa Claus and the joy of worrying. You can read the entire thing by clicking here!
Now let’s journey to a galaxy far, far away… (Bring snacks. It’s a long trip.)
Today’s Lego item is…
A Cosmic Banana!
Once again, I have no clue what ship this is. It looks a bit like an A-wing from the original trilogy but the bold color scheme just screams, “Prequels are a rainbow of artistic ignorance!”
What do you think it is?
Whatever it is, I like it. I wish it shared the same palette as the other blue ships that were in the calendar, but yellow is acceptable. I like bananas. Is this a banana?
The Lego workers knew today’s item wasn’t an all-star, which is why it came with a bunch of extra pieces. Lego’s calendar philosophy tends to be, “Hey, it’s crap, but here’s some more of it!”
I do like the scale of these ships because the minifigures can play with them. Can you imagine getting a spaceship toy that’s as tall as you? I can. That’s why I’m smiling and happy-crying. Huck and Vance are so lucky.
Warren was determined to fit the extra pieces together to make a new toy. It didn’t work.
He then took a nap, because his tiny legs are so slender that making him stand takes fifteen minutes and a thimbleful of wallpaper glue.
Day 9 Rating: 3.0001 out of 5 (Points added because I like it. Points deducted because I kinda wanna see if it tastes like banana…and then it’s off to the hospital again where the doctors are tired of hearing me yell, “Tasting things is how I learn!”)
Avengers Calendar Day 9
Take a gamble and guess which of the four characters it could be: Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, or Captain America. Winner gets a sloppy wet handshake.
It’s Thor’s hammer. Again. Did I waste $2 on this calendar?
Dan also makes enchanted pencils! Power Pencils are magic writing instruments that let you control the world. If you can write a sentence or draw a picture, you can be a superhero! Power Pencils fit in most stockings and make lovely presents (but terrible chopsticks). Click here to order your set today!
