The Lego Calendar is getting lighter and lighter. Good World is getting more and more crowded. It’s all so exciting. What should I do with the box once all the Legos have been safely delivered to Good World? I could use the plastic compartments to make big ice cubes. Better yet, a Lego Prison! With a little tape, glue, or gum, these cardboard doors can be sealed shut to imprison the wicked Lego Folk.
But there are still a lot of Lego to reveal. Today’s item breaks the trend of giving the Lego Kids gifts such as Toy Trucks, Drum Kits, and Fire Places. It’s also one of the oddest prizes yet. Without giving away too much, the name of this Lego thing is an anagram for “Loud Earwax Hit Who?” Can you guess what it is? Of course you can.
It’s a Wood Hauler With Ax!
It took a few minutes of deep concentration to figure out that this “thing” was indeed a Wood Hauler With Ax. I’m guessing the brown things are wood, because why else would it come with a hatchet? Is an ax the same as a hatchet? God I hope so or else I just wasted 7 hours coming up with the wrong anagram. I never had a fireplace nor have I been in a fairytale, but I guess if you chop wood in the forest you’ll need some way to haul it back to your cottage.
The separate items (ax, wood, sled, wood block) are better than the completed item as a whole. I like the logs. The sled is pretty cool. The wood block is a’ight. And the ax is 120% terrific. When combined to make Wood Hauler With Ax, it seems a bit anticlimactic. Anyway, I think today’s item should be…OH MY GOD! Robot Snowman, what did you do!? WHAT DID YOU DO!?!
After taking orders from the family for days and days, Robot Snowman snapped and did the unthinkable to Cat Girl. This is why you should never give a Robot Snowman, or any snowman an ax. They are not to be trusted. The short seasonal lifespan of snowpeople often make them depressed. It’s not easy to know that you will die before your first birthday. Sure, Robot Snowman is a Robot, but he’s also made of snow, somehow. So…there ya go.
Poor, poor Cat Girl. We hardly knew thee.
Just kidding. That was all a dream…
Or was it?
Instead of making a scene of murder, the family has used the wooden logs and ax to make a scratching post for Lego Cat. It only seems fair since Lego Werewolf was given a jetpack.
Day 12 Rating: 2.6 out of 4 (Points deducted because it didn’t come with an extra ax, and I’m willing to bet $509 that by the end of the month, that ax will be missing – possibly swallowed.)
See you tomorrow for Day 13…in which Cynthia may or may not make her much anticipated appearance.
