Today’s date is 12-11-10. Hurray for sequential numbers! Aren’t numbers great? Yes, I’m stalling. The truth is that there’s not much to write about for Day 11. It’s not a bad item, and it certainly has a Christmas-y vibe to it, but after a week of Lego Jetpacks and bearded Lego Men named Thaddeus, I’m a bit Lego-ed out.
I still love the calendar, but today’s entry is going to be short so I can rest and recharge. Read on to find out that today’s item is a fireplace.
It’s a fireplace!
Good World needed a fireplace with a flower vase. It also needs more furniture than just a legless chair, but if sleeping on the ground was good enough for the dinosaurs, than Thaddeus and his kids can sleep on the ground too. By the way, I’m seriously considering giving this family the surname “Goat.” Try to stop me.
The greatest parts of the fireplace are the two Lego Flames that came included. The illustration only shows one flame in the fireplace, so the other flame is possibly an extra piece. As Abe Lincoln once said, “Screw that noise!” Both flames are going into the fire. Try to stop me.
What should the Goats do with their new flame box? Roast hot dogs, of course. (Or sausages, as the case may be.)
Robot Snowman is in charge of dinner because he has the patience needed to cook food on an open flame. Sword Boy Goat tried to roast them, got bored, and is now standing on top of the fireplace because he had a Mountain Dew for breakfast. Cat Girl Goat is still learning to walk without articulated legs, and Thaddeus Goat now has a sword because he works hard and plays hard.
Day 11 Rating: 2.97 out of 4 (Points deducted because Robot Snowman fears fire.)
See you tomorrow.
