Lego Advent Calendar: Day 10

Has it really been 10 days!? What the hell?! Should you place the exclamation point before or after the question mark when making loud, interrogative sentences?! Maybe in the middle?!? Or like this!?!

Sorry for shouting.

With two weeks of goodies left inside the Advent Calendar, there is still a lot of Lego to experience, but I’m sad that soon it will be Day 11, and then Day 23, and then the final day. It’s all moving so fast.

Today’s item can’t compete with Jetpack Werewolf, but what Lego thing possible could? That’s like eating a dinosaur heart and then having spaghetti for dinner the next day. Sure, spaghetti is good, but it’s not the same as dinosaur heart. That said, I really like today’s item, which is…

Thaddeus! (a.k.a. Briefcase Man w/ Extra Hair)

I named him Thaddeus because he totally looks like a Thaddeus, no? He comes with a briefcase which is so boring that it’s actually delightful. I’ve never had a briefcase. I’ve never worked in a place where people carried briefcases. I don’t even know if briefcases are real or something Hollywood made up like cowboys, computers that beep when you type a letter, and the 1960’s. While working in Manhattan, I saw a lot of business people, but no one carried a briefcase.

I wonder what Thaddeus does for a living that forces him to carry a briefcase while wearing a casual sweater. I bet he’s a Storm Chaser and the briefcase is filled with storm data and very tiny storms.

The briefcase opens up, and it’s big enough to carry three molecules of air and some germs. It’s fun, but the real accessory is Extra Hair. Most of these Lego items come with spare pieces, but I feel that the bonus hair isn’t just an auxiliary item to be used should one lose the real hair. It’s part of Thaddeus. He has extra hair. That’s who he is. Don’t try to change him, and don’t you dare judge him. When not using the Extra Hair, he lets Robot Snowman try it on because Robot Snowman longs for humanity.

Sword Boy and Cat Girl must be happy that their father is home, though Thaddeus loves to walk around the house showing off his articulated legs, as his daughter pathetically tries to walk using two poles. Sword Boy is so excited that his dad is home that he poked his eye with the broom handle.

Day 10 Rating: 3.3 out of 4 (Points deducted because he might not be their father, but instead a creepy hair salesman.)

Go away and come back in about 24 hours to see what’s next.
