Lego Advent Calendar: Day 2

The more I look at Robot Snowman, the more I love him. And after today, he is even better, so I’m raising his score to a solid 3.5 out of 4. No, Cynthia the Sausage Girl did not live behind door #2. I’m OK with that. In fact, had she been Day 2’s prize, I would have probably thrown out the rest of the calendar, because what’s the point? After you get a Sausage Girl, there’s nothing else to care about.

Today’s item is another home run. I don’t quite know how this fits into the world I’m creating on my desk, but I’m glad it’s there. Are you ready? Are you scared? You should be. Day #2 is…

Sword Boy!

Before this month, I was never the world’s biggest Lego Fan. In my entire life, I’ve spent about $7 on Legos. So forgive my naiveté, but I didn’t know Lego people had children. The Lego Children are smaller than Lego Adults. They have shorter legs, and the legs don’t bend at the waist…just like real children.

Sword Boy comes with not just one sword, not just two swords, but THREE FREAKING SWORDS! He also comes with a bonus hat, because the makers of Legos knew that if they included four swords, the world would drown in a sea of pure energy.

The bad news is that Sword Boy only has two hands. What should I do with the other sword? Robot Snowman, prepare to be weaponized! Also, you’re getting a new red hat, Robot Snowman.

Robot Snowman and Sword Boy stand proudly on my desk, just waiting to be joined by tomorrow’s Lego prize. It’s only been two days, and already this is my favorite December of the year!

Day 2 Rating: 3.6 out of 4 (Points deducted for not having eleven swords)

Check back tomorrow.
