Was I too enthusiastic about yesterday’s Bronze Ladle?
No.
I also have a chocolate Advent calendar, but I haven’t been posting about it because there are only so many words a person is allowed to type in their lifetime and writing about a traditional chocolate Advent calendar every day would be wasting those precious words — words I am saving to one day write a play about shoes entitled “Feet Puppets: Journey Into Madness.”
But I sometimes forget to open the doors of the chocolate Advent calendar. That means yesterday I had a backlog of three days worth of Advent chocolate. And eating those three tiny pieces of candy may have altered time and space. Those treats were meant for specific days and to consume them later than their true birth date is to defy the gods of chronology. I’m sorry if my actions have rippled and warped the fabric of time. It’s probably why there’s a dinosaur outside my window and my great-great-great grandfather is climbing that tree.
Oops.
Will today’s item be as wonderful as a ladle? Let’s find out!
It’s Treasure! And a Treasure Map! And…a Plate?
The treasure map is adorable and perfect. Did you know I made a Pencil of Treasure as part of Power Pencils Series 2?
It’s one of my favorite Power Pencils. It has a mermaid on it and everything! It can help you find treasure and draw maps. Series 2 of Power Pencils is super, duper close to selling out, so if you want the set, order soon!!! (Click here to visit the store.)
This Playmobil treasure map is everything a treasure map should be: Filled with skulls and easy to swallow.
The pink gems are also fantastic! They are glittery!
So let’s talk about this golden plate. I thought it was a compass at first, or an elaborate ninja star.
However, you can stick a pink gem in the center. This is clearly a piece of elaborate treasure. Can’t wait for the Antiques Roadshow to come to town so I can have this professionally appraised.
Because I assume all gems are magical, it’s clear that this golden-plate-gem thing was once owned by a wizard who no doubt used it to conquer the laws of nature. Jonas Cannoncube will use it to serve cheese and crackers at the Christmas party.
Hezzy and Kayla wanted treasure, too. They poured over the map trying to find the nearest treasure.
HEZZY: I think we should travel North.
KAYLA: I think you’re breathing too loudly. It’s like listing to a hot air balloon torch every nine seconds.
HEZZY: You want me to apologize for breathing?
KAYLA: No. I want you to apologize for sleeping with my cousin.
HEZZY: Why did you make out with Barry at the book fair?
KAYLA: We were just talking!!!
HEZZY: Let me see your phone!!!
KAYLA: Stop breathing so loudly!!!
Day 16 Rating: 4 out of 5 (Treasure map and treasure? That’s a win!)
See you tomorrow!
Three days. That’s all that’s left if you want to order Power Pencils by Christmas. Three days. All orders must be in by December 19th to ensure Christmas delivery!
