It’s Double-Digit Day of the calendar, and you know what that means!??!
It doesn’t mean anything, really.
We are waist-deep in the holiday season. Even those who turned up their noses and middle fingers at the cool people who decorated in November are now giving in to the joy and wonder and shopping and traffic. Christmas is here. Accept it!
It’s everyone’s goal to get all the holiday chores (shopping, mostly) out of the way this weekend, freeing up next weekend to spend curled up on the couch reading online Star Wars theories.
But first things first — toy calendar time!
I might need your help with today’s item.
It’s…
Fish and a Stick and another Stick and a Mound of Sand!
First, these fish are incredible and a welcomed addition to this Playmobil island I’ve created on my desk. I’m naming this island Femur Island — not as dreadful as Skull Island, but still creepy.
Love the fish. The other three items are a bit confusing…maybe. I’m assuming this is how the item is meant to be set up:
The long stick holds the fish over the fire. Does that seem right?
I’ve spent nine minutes with this thing, and I’m 37% certain that this is how it works. It looks right. Right? No? Did I ruin Christmas? I’ve never gone fishing before so maybe this is all wrong.
The Winter Gnomes had never eaten fish, but Gnomes are always willing to try new things.
Robot Snowman wanted very much to enjoy in the feast, but Hezzy told him, “No. They are trying to lure you with gifts of ocean meat. Let the weaklings enjoy their party. We have…bigger fish to fry.”
Day 10 Rating: 3.39 out of 5 (Points added for the fish.)
See you tomorrow!
