There’s not much to build. That’s been my overall feeling about the 2012 Lego Friends Advent Calendar. Every day’s item is nearly complete when you open the cardboard door. The reason for this could be…
1. The calendar is giving up crappy pieces that do not need to be constructed.
2. Lego feels that the Friends line should be less about building, because they (horribly) think girls don’t like to build things. So the Friends toys are pretty much just Polly Pocket but with removable heads.
3. I’m overthinking this.
Today’s item is….
Lego Food!
Today’s item are Lego Brownies (or Lego Meatloaf, if your imagination works as mine does) and a Lego Plate. It’s cute but should have been included with yesterday’s item.
But wait…what’s that little box?
Is that? OMG! Lego Milk Carton!
That’s amazing!
I’m being overly enthusiastic about the Lego Milk Carton. At this point, if I don’t start treating some of this crap like gems, Christmas will be one long complaint.
So let us all enjoy the Lego Milk Carton. It has a cow on it!
The milk and the Lego Meatloaf make today’s treasure slightly better than receiving nothing at all.
Baby Robot Snowgirl assumed milk was “snowpeople blood” and was very afraid. I tried to explain that snowpeople are made of frozen water, but then she asked, “So am I a cloud or a puddle?” and I didn’t know how to answer. Then she asked if snow is mostly water, and urine is mostly water, does that mean snowmen come from “pee-pee.” Folks, there are no books in the store that can make these conversations any easier. Snow children are hard to raise.
Day 9 Rating: 2.319 (Points added because just like a little kid holding his nose when eating cabbage, I can force myself to like it a little bit.)
