Lego Advent Calendar: Day 11

I made a simple (perhaps too simple?) jetpack for Becky. It was long overdue. She’s thrilled, as you can clearly see by her facial expression.

Yesterday’s fantastic introduction of Trudy Tinsel Evergreen leads me to believe that today’s item will be simple at best, and frustratingly simple at worst.

I’ve been wrong before. It’s difficult, if not impossible, to predict what manner of Lego is waiting behind the cardboard doors. Part of me is worried that one day, maybe today or tomorrow but certainly not on Christmas Eve, the calendar will spit out another bench. In fact, I’m willing to bet $4 that there is another bench somewhere in the calendar. Seems odd if the table has only one bench. I don’t want another bench. I’d be happy with only one bench. But in the next 13 days, I will surely find bench #2.

Is that day today?

Nope! Today’s item is a grill! With fire! And another sausage!

The grill is complicated. There are lots of little pieces, including fire pieces and orange pieces that I’m calling Fire Discs!

This took one entire minute to build. One minute might not seem long, but usually Lego calendar items can be slapped together during a sneeze.

It was fun building something.

Trudy and Super Snowman got to work cooking more sausages. It’s cute.

Super Snowman wanted to help, and despite Trudy’s warning about the fire and heat, S.S. got right up in her grill (literally).

And then he started to melt.

Ah, the things we do for love!

Day 11 Rating: 3.1 out of 5 (Points added because it wasn’t bench #2.)
