"IMG_0312"The calendar is almost empty. Christmas is almost here. I am almost ready!

I doubt I’ll open another Star Wars calendar next year. Looking at the items I’ve received over these past two years, I’m not sure there’s anything left in the Star Wars universe that I’d want in Lego form.

Already got myself a Speeder Bike, Millennium Falcon, AT-AT w/ antlers, and Middle School Principal.

So next December might be spent opening the classic Lego City calendar. But we’ll see how we all feel in 2016…when we’re all living on the moon.

What’s behind the penultimate door?

"IMG_0311"

What is this? Is this some Expanded Universe crap?

There are hundreds of legit Star Wars vehicles, and this ain’t one of them.

This is some generic crap that was stuffed into the calendar because they ran out of ideas.

I should have expected this. Lego loves cramming snowmobiles and sleds into these calendars, even if they don’t belong.

If they ever make a Lord of the Rings calendar, you can rest assured that by December 24th, Frodo will own a snowmobile…and levers.

"IMG_0313"

Stickles quickly claimed it for his own, saying something about his culture and religion, and everyone just let him have it or else they would look like insensitive bullies.

The only highlight of this otherwise worthless collection of bricks, are the two light sabers.

“Light sabers make everything better.” – Benjamin Franklin

If you cut broccoli with a light saber, the broccoli would taste better.

So, while today is the worst day of the calendar (so far), it’s not 110% terrible.

But if the last item in this calendar turns out to be Snowmobile #2, or a purse, then I’m putting on my angry pants.

Come back tomorrow to see the final item and my list of the best items this year!

Day 23 Rating: 1 out of 5 (Points added for the light sabers. Points deducted because this could have been a tiny AT-ST.)
