""There is no hope for the Lego Friends Advent Calendar. Nothing can save it. Today could spit out a Lego jetpack and a real, live puppy and I would still blame the calendar for ruining my entire holiday.

Yesterday’s item was the worse thing anyone has ever received. The purse was so small and awful that I’m certain it was actually a virus.

This calendar is for girls, and while I’ve never been a girl, I can’t imagine any young lass feeling happy about this product. It’s terrible. It’s bad. It’s terri-bad.

But let’s keep going, if only for the sake of tradition. I’m assuming today’s item will be a Lego cavity. What do you think is behind the 20th door?

""

It’s a Christmas Forest!

""

I like it. I like it quite a bit, actually. There are flowers and some snow, and it makes me feel happy! Plus, it came with extra parts! And I had a chance to build something!

It’s strange how little building is involved in the Lego Friends line. Lego are all about building. Not being able to build with Lego is like getting an Xbox that only works as a radio.

""

So today’s item is pretty great. Yay! I’m smiling!

And then I remember that this calendar also gave me a bucket and a purse and all the joy leaves my body in literal waves of tears.

Why couldn’t every day be as fun as this? I would gladly accept 20 days of nothing but Lego Plants instead of the dreck I yanked out of this box.

Whatever. Let’s just be glad that I don’t need to wield fire upon today’s item.

Nintendo, being the adventurous sort, quickly went exploring deep into the Christmas Forest!

""

Yes, the Christmas Forest isn’t much of a forest and is probably just a poinsettia, but shut up. I need this to be a forest. Dan needs a win today. It’s a forest! And you can explore it!

Day 20 Rating: 8 out of 10 (Points added because it’s good.)

Four days left! I’m tempted to just open up the rest of the box tonight and get this over with, but I won’t. I’ll be good. (Naked Shower) Santa is watching.
