So far, I’d say the Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar has been wonderful this year. The first week gave us sail barges, sand crawlers, Frisco and an Ewok playset.
I’m thinking today’s item will be a mini-figure, since Frisco seems lonely.
What lives behind the cardboard door?
An Ewok!
His name is Stickles — Robert G. Stickles. (Th G stands for Gandalf.)
He seems pissed. Did I just wake up him? Sorry, Stickles.
As with the Jawas, I like to think there are many types of Ewoks. They’re not all are tree-dwelling, primitive teddy bears. We’ve only seen the redneck Ewoks in Return of the Jedi. But elsewhere there are Ewoks who work as chemical engineers and patent lawyers. The outdoorsy Ewoks and the city Ewoks get together for the holidays, but it’s usually an awkward mess.
CITY EWOK: So…how’s things?
COUNTRY EWOK: We just killed an elk with rocks. Hope you’re hungry! How are you?
CITY EWOK: Well, I’m thinking of ditching cable all together and just use NetFlix and AppleTV. It’s a tough call.
COUNTRY EWOK: You some sort of witch with those witch-words?
CITY EWOK: Haha..not all. Where’s your restroom?
COUNTRY EWOK: There’s a pile out back.
CITY EWOK: Of course there is.
I think Stickles is a country Ewok. His job is to hunt and then sleep.
Everything was going well until Robot Sowman showed up, and Stickles began to worship him.
Day 8 Rating: 3.7 out of 5 (Points deducted because I’m getting tired of these short Lego people. Did Lego do this to save 0.0002 cents on plastic?)
Happy Second Day of Hanukkah!
