“Because toys come to life at night, and if we don’t, the Lego people will die.” – That’s a pretty convincing argument for opening all the cardboard doors right away. If you are 8 years old, and need an excuse to open every door of your Lego Calendar, go with the one above. You’ll be ruining the entire holiday season, but you will get your Lego faster.
At the risk of generating too much hype, today’s item is the very best Lego item I’ve opened this December.
A damn Christmas Street Light!!
Not only is the thing made of about a hundred wonderful pieces (or maybe just 12), the item is more Christmas-y than Santa hi-fiving the baby Jesus!
Look at this thing!
It’s right out of a Dickens story, or Elf! The only way it could be filled with more holiday cheer is if it came with some Lego shoes for a dying mom.
It even has berries and snow on the green plant!
But the best part? The very reason why this is my favorite item (so far)? Look at the clear dome!
Clear Lego pieces are my favorite. They are exotic and crystalline. In a simpler time, folks would perhaps consume the clear pieces in hopes of gaining superpowers or a good harvest. The dome that covers the light works perfectly for this item, but surely there are other uses for such a wonderful Lego piece.
Nintendo likes it too. She tried to wear it as a space helmet and succeeded about 78-percent.
Day 3 Rating: 9.2 (Because who knew that a silly Lego lamp post could be so perfect?)
See you tomorrow.
